Calls for anti-military protests continue in Sudan, Death toll at 40

Activists are calling for continued protests against the military. Medics say at least 40 people have been killed in demonstrations since the army took over last month.

Sudan’s top general Abdel Fattah Al Buran declared a state of emergency on October 25th. Some civilian leaders were detained the takeover has upended a two-year transition of government drawing widespread international condemnation a new ruling sovereign council is being led by Al Buran. But protesters are demanding a complete handover to civilian rule.
